High School Internship Program
With the mission of attracting more diversity to the commercial real estate industry, Colliers launched a paid high school internship program in 2021. Running from June to August, the intern program is three days per week, for a total of 10-15 hours. Given the strong amount of interest from industry partners and the need for broader change within the CRE industry, Colliers and NAIOP are partnered to expand this program to other CRE firms in 2022, launching 14 different interns at various firms from 5 different schools. In addition to gaining valuable life experiences through interviewing, working and socializing; interns were exposed to multiple different facets of commercial real estate including brokerage, property management, construction, development, banking, architecture, engineering, building maintenance, marketing, research and analytics. The interns also had the opportunity to collaborate with other high school interns as well as be mentored by college interns, NAIOP Developing Leaders, ACRE students/grads, and other industry professionals. With this strong foundation of success in 2022, it is our desire to grow the program in 2023 to even more candidates so we can continue to attract more diverse talent to our industry. Your support is needed and appreciated!
